[ A weekly visit — Fountain Hills, AZ ]
Every Week, In the Same Order
Skim the surface, brush the walls, steps and behind the ladder, empty the skimmer and pump baskets, vacuum where the floor needs it, then test and adjust the water. The equipment pad is checked last — pressure on the filter gauge, the pump running quiet and primed, the auto-fill leveler actually keeping up. If something is off, you hear about it that day.

Common Questions
01
How often should a pool be serviced in Arizona?
Weekly, in almost every case. Sapphire Pools services residential pools on a weekly schedule across Fountain Hills and Scottsdale because desert conditions do not allow for anything looser: surface temperatures push chlorine demand up through the summer, evaporation concentrates minerals in water that is already hard, and a single monsoon storm can drop enough dust and palo verde litter to overwhelm a skimmer basket overnight. A pool left for two weeks in July is not twice as dirty as a pool left for one — it is a chemistry problem that costs more to correct than the visits would have. Bi-weekly service can work for a screened or covered pool in winter, but it is the exception.
02
What is included in a weekly pool service visit?
Every Sapphire Pools weekly visit covers skimming, brushing the walls and steps, testing and balancing your chemistry, emptying skimmer and pump baskets, and inspecting the equipment pad. Filter cleaning is included two to three times per year, and salt cell cleaning every other month at no extra charge — those are part of the weekly rate, not add-ons billed later. Your technician is the same person week to week, so an equipment problem gets spotted by someone who knows what your pad looked like last month. If we find something that needs repair, you get told before any work happens, not after.
03
My pool turned green. How fast can you get it clear?
Call Sapphire Pools at (480) 973-3244 and we will come out and assess it. Our green-to-clean treatment shock-treats the water, deep cleans the filter system, brushes and vacuums every surface, and rebalances your chemistry from scratch. How long it takes depends on how far gone the water is and on the filter: a pool that went green over a long weekend usually clears faster than one that has been sitting since spring, and a badly loaded filter may need cleaning more than once during the recovery. Some pools recover with treatment alone; the worst cases need a full drain, acid wash and refill. We tell you which one you are looking at before we start.
04
Do you repair pool equipment, or only clean pools?
Both. Alongside weekly maintenance, Sapphire Pools handles pump and motor replacements, heater repair, automation system installs, pool lights, control boards, pop-ups, pool vacs, and water levelers — and we install energy-efficient variable-speed pumps and modern filtration when older equipment is due to be replaced. We are residential only: no commercial contracts and no pool remodeling or construction. If a repair falls outside what we do, we will tell you that rather than take the job. Repairs are quoted before work begins.
05
Can you look after my pool while I am out of state for the summer?
Yes — it is one of the most common requests Sapphire Pools gets, particularly across North Scottsdale and Fountain Hills where a large share of homes are seasonal. The work while you are away is really about catching things early: an Arizona pool with a failed pump in July does not stay clear for long, and neither does one whose auto-fill has quietly stopped keeping up with evaporation. We keep the chemistry and the equipment stable through the summer, flag problems when we find them rather than at the end of the season, and handle gate access and community vendor requirements as routine. You come back to a pool that is ready to use rather than a recovery job.
06
Which areas do you cover?
Sapphire Pools covers Fountain Hills, North Scottsdale and the Shea corridor, Paradise Valley, Rio Verde and Rio Verde Foothills, and Northeast Phoenix east of I-51 and north of Loop 101 — including Desert Ridge, the Tatum & Bell corridor, and Tatum Ranch. Everything sits within roughly a 45-minute drive of our Fountain Hills base, which is deliberate: a tight service area is what makes a genuinely weekly schedule possible and lets us reach an equipment failure the same week it happens. If you are just outside that radius, call (480) 973-3244 and we will tell you honestly whether we can serve you well.
